Finding surround sound or Dolby Atmos content is a little challenging when you are searching for it both in the audio and video. In the video, you can instantly find it, and the answer to that can be found in your memory.

That’s why I came up with this guide to provide you with a comprehensive list of all the audio/video streaming services that provide Dolby Atmos or surround sound.

Point to be noted, my Lord: LOL! The point is. This is not a review guide of the streaming services. This guide only shows you which streaming services provide Dolby Atmos or surround sound.

You have to read the review of that streaming service online that you think is worth it for the Dolby Atmos or surround sound feature.

Does every content is Dolby Atmos or Surround Sound on these streaming services?

Not all of the content will be Dolby Atmos or surround sound. The (Yes) in the table doesn’t guarantee that.

The Dolby Atmos & surround sound are limited. You will get it in those titles which are decoded in Dolby Atmos or surround sound.

A streaming giant like Netflix doesn’t have every content in Dolby Atmos. You can only watch a limited number of Dolby Atmos content on Netflix. But there is a plethora of content on Netflix that is available in 5.1 surround sound format.

So, the point is. When you buy the subscription then don’t expect Dolby Atmos from every title that you click on.

Know if the Atmos is worth it at home? I have the best analysis for you in this guide.

Can you access these streaming services in a country where they are not officially there?

I have written (yes) with those streaming services which officially provide their services in that country. But you can access them with VPN services or in a few cases they have an agreement with another streaming service in that country. You can access your favorite streaming services by buying another streaming service subscription with which they have partnered.

Like you can access most of the HBO Max content by subscribing to Binge in Australia. That’s why I have written (no). Because it is not officially there in Australia.

Also, VUDU can be accessed by VPN from other countries because it is geo-blocked outside of the USA.

Know if the home theater is good for music? I have compared the surround sound with stereo in this guide.

Is the subscription price the same for each country?

The subscription price of all streaming services may vary from country to country. Also, the price may be changing from promotional event to event or some special bonuses in the shopping season.

That’s why the price may be changed once you have decided to sign up for their account.

Why Am I Not Considering Amazon Music as Dolby Atmos?

The Dolby Atmos which is provided by Amazon Music or many other streaming services is for Headphones or certain portable speakers.

Here I am analyzing those that provide Dolby Atmos or surround sound music to home theater systems. The music you can play with your Dolby Atmos setup where every channel has separate speakers.

Also, those are excluded from (yes) labels that their music can be played in Dolby Atmos with tricks or third-party devices or apps like Spotify. You can’t play Spotify directly with a Dolby Atmos-enabled home theater. Also, they don’t claim officially that their music can be played by Atmos home theaters.

While Apple Music has provided the method through which you can play their Dolby Atmos a.k.a Spatial audio in home theater with Atmos enabled AV receiver. Read their notes on the Apple support page.

Also, the Tidal music can be played by Atmos-enabled home theaters. Know how to play music from phone to home theater. I have provided 3 connectivity options to do it.

FAQs

Does music have Dolby Atmos and how to get it?

Music has Dolby Atmos and many more streaming services are investing and you can get it by installing a complete Dolby Atmos setup with an Atmos-enabled receiver. It can be played with an Atmos-enabled soundbar too but that is not recommended.

To experience the real magic of Atmos. You should have a complete setup of Atmos speakers because that magic can’t be felt with a soundbar.

How do I know if a song is Dolby Atmos?

If your overhead or Atmos speakers are evolving in the process then it is Atmos. If you can really feel the sound bubble around you. If there are holes in the bubble then it is not real Atmos.

Many movies and music are labeled as Atmos content but when you play it with home theater. A few of them are not decoded properly in Atmos. The decoding can’t involve the Atmos speakers in the flow successfully.

Who has the most Atmos content?

Amazon prime, Netflix, Apple TV, and VUDU have the most amount of Atmos content and they are investing more to bring Atmos content to their platform. That’s why telling you the exact number is not worth it because it might change by tomorrow.

These are the giants and they are investing a lot. They have a good budget for production. Almost every new movie coming to these platforms is Atmos enabled.
